We recently uploaded new reviews. Contributing writer Len Poche wrote a profile of Steve James, and we also featured Mississippi-to-New York transplant Lowry Hamner. Plus, we added PHOTOS of John Kay (formerly of Steppenwolf, who had always been an acoustic blues musician); Murali Coryell-son of jazz great Larry Coryell, and a wonderful blues musician on his own right; Lowry Hamner; Beale Street, Memphis, street musicians Ben Prestage and Richard Johnston, and a photo of the late folk-blues multi-instrumentalist Mindy Jostyn. Also, slide virtuoso Ed Gerhard and N’Awlins pianist Dr. John.
Coming soon: Profile of slide great Roy Rogers.

We just published an excellent article by contributing writer John Williams, “Old Time Guitar Recording,” to help aspiring musicians with the sound techniques of the original blues. We also just added full artist features for Roberto Luti, Stan Hirsch and Mary Flower.
